This Chefs is forged from 300 layer "Reckless" random pattern damascus made with 1080 and 15n20 high carbon steel. I call it "reckless" because I aggressively forge out the billet, forcing in many random and deep indentions before squaring the billet back up before restacking. This aggressive forging combined with being forged very close to final shape results in a unique and unpredicatable pattern. This Chef 9.5" with a 2.5" heel height. A lot of surface area to work with! The handle is stabilized black ash burl.
