This is my gradient feather damascus integral chefs I made for bladeshow. Steel is 1080/15n20 feather damascus, and the handle is buckeye burl.

The gradient feather is made by stacking up the steel from heavy 15n20 and light 1080 and slowly swapping to heavy 1080 and light 15n20. Starting with 30 layers ending around 10,000 after the split and reweld. This results in an awesome transition from silver at the spine down to black on the edge. You can watch the feather flow out of the bolster and back up to the tip. It was a fun challenge and im super happy with the result!
